Big PS Store Days of Play Sale Begins This Wednesday

I have to admit that I'm holding off buying anything right now in anticipation of the new tiers.

@theheadofabroom Same. I guess we should get a better list today or tomorrow, as it launches in Asia?

I don’t play online, the few games I want to play are a nice bonus with PS+, but the discount is what’s most appealing to me.
My subscriptions have run out & I'm waiting to see what exactly Sony has in store.

@theheadofabroom agreed. The only thing that could get me to buy would be a steep discount on a game in my wishlist that I know I would replay many times like disco elysium.

I'm hoping that there's a good deal on some hardware as I quite fancy the Pulse 3D headset. My current set of cans has been glued multiple times and is definitely living on borrowed time.

Been holding out on disco elysium, but really, my backlog is amply full of decent games I'm about half-way through...

I’d pick up Prey or Nioh 2 PS5 if it goes on sale, but kinda waiting on the new premium to see if it’s worth it.

I recently bought The Witcher III Wild Hunt Game of year edition that has all the DLC etc. for under a tenner on the PS store.. I think the offer expires on the 25th. Took me a while to find as it's higher priced and without the expansions if you do a search for the regular game.

This is tricky. I don't want to buy something that ends up being on PS+ premium.

@render I really wouldnt bother with the Pulse 3D headset unless it was on a steep discount, I sold mines on and got Arctis 7P wireless instead

Probably too soon for a Horizon FW sale but since we've hardly heard a peep about it since launch as the gaming world was awash in Elden Ring coverage I suppose a slight discount is possible. Though I don't think HZD went on sale until September around the time Frozen Wilds was announced/released.

@J2theEzzo buying games is technically a separate hobby from playing games.

Shame this probably won't have discounts on Plus....I usually stock up now or Black Friday.

Doubt HFW or GT7 will have a decent sale. Maybe $5 off or something. Too new. Too new for Elden Ring to get a decent price, either.

@rjejr HZD was half price within like 3 months of launch. It was the fastest race to the bottom Old Sony ever did before their new "Nintendo-like" pricing kicked in. Though it may have had something to do with the fact that I and everyone else was playing BotW when HZD launched so it kinda went invisible. I STILL have my launch day boxed copy sealed (though I started and haven't finished the game digitally since then.)

Hopefully it goes on a decent discount. Would probably have bought it by now but the way the upgrade was handled really put me off buying it for the prices it's been offered.

I would love to buy a good game...last thing I purchased was Diablo II Resurrected (in pack with Diablo 3), and I don't regret it. Masterpiece, made for PS4.....but I don't see anytime soon something of that magnitude coming.....

@PaperAlien Cheers for the recommendation. If the 7Ps were the same price as the Pulse 3Ds I'd have them in a heartbeat but unfortunately my budget doesn't stretch that far.

@NEStalgia It wasn't half price within 3 months. Game released in Feb, my mother bought it for my son for his birthday in September. I looked all around to find her a deal, physical or digital, but she still had to pay full price. 🤑

Also, in June, 4 months after release, I posted this comment, we still hadn't purchased it yet.

"W/ the way game prices drop these days upon release my son and I said we'd each chip in $15 when it hit $30. My 2 sons chipped in for Zelda BotW at release b/c that will still be $60 in 3 years. And neither have finished it yet so we're in no rush.

I think it's a good number though, Sony should be happy. It will certainly sell more during Black Friday sales to anybody still waiting."

Ah well, you're in luck after all. Seems like it was half price all summer, I just didn't buy it then b/c we were playing Zelda BotW, then it went back up and I paid $50, plus $15 for the DLC. 🤑

For the record, I currently have about $130 of credit on PSN b/c I have a PS credit card but we still haven't bought HFW b/c I'm waiting for the DLC to be announced this summer and the "Complete Edition" to be released this holiday. Fool me once...

I'm hoping that Outer Wilds and Miles Morales go on sale.

If they give a reasonable discount to HFW I might go for it, I think is as patched as it's going to get so now is the waiting game for me with price.

Love to snag Demon's Souls and the new Ratchet and Clank if they go on sale.

i can’t see myself buying miles morales it’s just DLC to me , i’m waiting for it to be free , but if that never happens then that’s ok
